How to do guitar Music For Texas in a way that avoids cliches? Such was the topic of my first discussion with Rebecca Cutter for her incisive crime drama The Hunting Wives. As a guitar player with a large collection of rare and folky guitars from all over the world, I perused my stash until I found an instrument I had not yet used in a film score, a Croatian Prim – a small, pointy sounding axe with a haunting sound somewhere between The Near East and Austin.
