I have had this idea for a while about a score for this genre that combined the electronica of scores like Blade Runner and Tron with the melodicism of a William’s type fantasy/adventure score. I wanted these two approaches combined in a way that allowed memorable and emotional themes to sit astride synthetic elements. It was also imperative to me that a real orchestra be employed as I felt that so much synthetic material needed to be offset with a human touch to fully express the thematic material.
